Recreational uses in wilderness areas include activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, backpacking, camping, nature study, photography, and climbing.
Bicycles, four-wheelers, and other forms of mechanical transport are not allowed in Wilderness Areas, since they are prohibited by the Wilderness Act.

Popo Agie Wilderness
United States Congress designated the Popo Agie Wilderness in 1984 and it now has a total of 101,870 acres. This rough land features high, jagged peaks; deep, narrow valleys and canyons; sheer granite walls; cirque basins; talus slopes; and perennial snowfields. All of this wilderness is located in Wyoming and is managed by the Forest Service.
